Introduced in 1998, the 996 generation of the venerable 911 was a
dramatic departure from its predecessors. A whole new chassis,
water cooled engined and significant electronics were the biggest
differences. While fast and capable, many enthusiasts lamented the
changes and the 996 has become one of the least like Porsches in
history. Despite enthusiasts complaints, the 996 sold well and was
still an excellent performance car. While air-cooled models have
stratospheric prices and newer examples are just as pricey, the 996
represents a bargain of modern performance, classic heritage, and
lower prices.

for your consideration. The paint color is a striking Speed Yellow,
which really makes the car pop. The paint and body work are
excellent, with no marks or chips whatsoever. The striking
paintwork is further enhanced by the optional Aero Kit which
included a large rear spoiler as well as flared side sills. 18in
thin spoke wheels with colored Porsche crests with PZero tires are
another option added on this car. The exterior is finally accented
by dark tinted windows. The interior is also spotless, with a
perfect dashboard. Sport seats with black leather are in excellent
shape and the rear of the seats are single piece Speed Yellow
shells. Yellow seat belts add another splash of color. In addition
to all of the expected goodies such as an excellent stereo, power
windows, sunroof and climate control, this car also has heated
seats and the optional Porsche trip/info computer.
On the performance side, this car has the standard 3.6L H6 that
pumps out 300hp and is mated to a smooth 6-speed manual
transmission. The drivetrain is completely stock and runs very
well. Options include PSM, stainless exhaust pipes, and the
aforementioned Aero Kit. This car has drilled brake rotors with
black painted calipers. This car is in incredible shape for its age
and with just 42k miles, its ready to hit the autobahn once more as
the world's premier sports car.
