For Sale: 1974 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ in Colbert, Oklahoma

Vehicle Description

For Sale - My 1974 FJ-40 that I have had since 1990. I love it but I would like to find a diesel, if possible. Been looking at some "troopy's", toyota hzj75's. I sandblasted the frame and bottom years ago and it's still ok, no rust anywhere. Recently undercoated it again. Very recently sandblasted all the body, inside and out, including the hardtop. Kustom machine shop in Denison, Texas rebuilt the 2f motor, VERY reputable shop, and it has 4840 miles on it right now. Gauge was at 57,385 at time of rebuild, and is at 62225 now. I drive it some, so mileage may increase a little. 1,600 of those miles were to Colorado and back. Got back Monday, Sept. 2nd. No problems. Held 45 psi oil pressure at all times, about 160 on temp gauge, and 13.8 on charge system. Never faltered. Didn't leak or use any oil. It has brand new, [NOS] 4.3 throttle body with painless wiring harness, and all sensors and computer are brand new. Throttle body or TBI works great on these fj40's. Lots of guys have done this upgrade. Motor is tuned automatically. Never have to adjust points or carbeurater. I drove it around 65 mph to Colorado and back. It's not ' wound up ' at that speed. New stock camshaft, lifters, clutch, pressure plate, motor mounts, water pump, voltage regulator, and almost new alternator. Complete rebuild. Also an electronic distributor. I put disk brakes on front, new seals, bearings, and rebuilt steering knuckles and Warn lock-outs. All tie rod ends are new. Skid plates on axle u-bolts. New Bilstein shocks and steering stabilizer. All universal joints are new. I went through 4 speed transmission and transfer case with new seals and gaskets. no leaks anywhere. It has new 16 gal. gas tank from CCOT and aux. 22 gal. new gas tank, 38 gallons total so you dont have to worry if you're far from a station. All brand new glass and glass seals except for the doors. Wing windows were sandblasted a little. New mirrors from CCOT. It was sandblasted, primed with Nason self-etching primer and the whole vehicle [except bumpers, underbody, and roll bars were raptor lined with a very fine texture. not that chunkey looking stuff. I wouldn't go against any big boulders, but I did it for tree limbs and the like to help prevent scratches. It looks really good. All door seals are fairly new and soft. Emissions have been removed. New fusebox. BF Goodrich 31-10.50 mud terrain are in good shape. Have same size spare. Chrome wheels have been painted black. Rebuilt jump seats and super comfortable front seats, with original seat brackets. Headers and new muffler. Brand new roof rack with SOR roof rack clamps.[apprx. 3 ft. by 4 ft.]. New Danhard heater will almost keep you warm with top off. 46,000 btu and 522 cfm. model is #00417ss. There is no rust on this cruiser. Also custom front bumper with a Warn 8274 winch, with remote and lots of 3/8 inch cable. Inside top is painted, no headliner. 74 model with 2f motor and 4 speed. You can drive this to Alaska and back and it will not fail you or leave you stranded. I have all receipts for all I have claimed. I may have lost one or two, but you can see for yourself. Please, no pay pal or cashiers checks. Willing to negotiate a little.  I have also rebuilt the steering gear box, installed new parking brake shoes, and new water pump, clutch fan, and fan blade. Also have installed new third member on rear axle as there was some slack in old one. Inspections and test drives are welcomed. This fj40 runs and drives excellent. Thanks for looking.
