Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this 1989 Ford Mustang LX
hatchback. The Fox Body's have a loyal following, and are beginning
to increase in value, as it is getting harder to find pristine
examples of these great pony cars. This is freshly built
street/strip Foxbody Mustang with only 1500 on the miles since the
build. If been looking for a fun street car or maybe something to
take to the dragstrip on the weekends, then look no further, the
work has already been done for you. Looking under the cowl
fiberglass hood you will a freshly built 347 small block Ford. The
engine has been professionally built with forged internals. A set
of 185 AFR heads with 58 cc chambers insure plenty of air and fuel
will feed this little beastly engine. A Comp Cams XE282 camshaft,
gives the 347 a nice lope and brings out the potential of the AFR
heads. The Mustang is also equipped with Nitrous, but it has not
been used. The Nitrous is empty and will need a fill before using.
The AOD 4-speed automatic makes this an easy car for anybody to
drive. It has been using aftermarket internals and features a
Lentech Valve body. This valve body provides firmer and quicker
shifts. The transmission now shifts more like a clutch-less manual
transmission. An aluminum, driveshaft sends the power from the
transmission to the 8.8 rear end that has been filled with 4.10
gears. In the cabin, the interior is stock gray cloth, but has a
few additions including a 6-point roll cage, Ratchet shifter,
Aftermarket Tach and gauges. The wheels are 15-inch Weld Rod Lites
with skinnies on the front and Hoosier cheater slicks on the rear.
