Vehicle Description
The 2002 is one of the cars that really put BMW on the map as the
maker of the ultimate driving machine. In addition to offering
practicality and efficiency, the 2002 was very sporty, with
excellent handling and a peppy engine. It was a great change of
pace from the typical domestic barges. A standard 2.0L 4cyl with a
two bbl Weber carb gave respectable power for the era. Light
weight, and a balanced chassis meant these little BMWs could hang
with more expensive sports car.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this gorgeous 1972 2002 for
your consideration. Finished in a unique Malaga red over black,
this car is eye catching. The paint quality is very good, with a
nice even shine throughout. Chrome and plastic trim is also in
great shape and is fully intact. The car has traded out its factory
chrome bumpers for a "turbo" look front splitter and a painted rear
bumper. The car rides on E21 look wheels with good rubber. Dual
rear ANSA exhaust pipes round out the sporty upgrades. The interior
is also in great shape with excellent seats that are rip and stain
free, the dash only has minor cracks, and all the trim is
present.
Powered by a 2.0L 4cyl with a 2bbl Weber carb running through a
4-speed manual and rear wheel drive, this little car has some
serious sporting potential. These BMWs are constantly becoming more
and more collectable and their influence on the current brand still
shines through.
