The Chevrolet Chevelle was produced in three generations for the
1964 through 1978 model years. Part of the General Motors A-Body
platform, the Chevelle was one of Chevrolet's most successful
nameplates. 1966-1967 models saw a significant restyle that
included smooth contours, a broad new grille and bumper treatment
and curved side windows. The 1967 models also received a new rear
end featuring wraparound tail lamps with standard backup lights.
The 1967 Chevelle brochure proudly stated: "what you see inside
will probably bring on a severe compulsion to go driving!". The
SS396 Chevelle continued as its' own series with both sport coupe
and convertible models. This SS Tribute was a complete frame off
restoration about 25 years ago with the owner only putting a little
over 6000 miles on her since. This beautiful Chevelle has a 402ci
big block putting down a little over 400 HP, paired to a 4-speed
manual transmission that runs out as good as it sounds. The black
vinyl interior gives this red Chevelle the right look and feel for
the true Hot Rod enthusiast. The power brakes, power steering and
A/C in this car give it just the right amount of modern feel when
putting the power to the pavement. Options for this Chevelle
include: Power steering, power brakes, seatbelts, air conditioning,
am/fm radio, cd player, radial tires, and vinyl interior. For more
