Vehicle Description
Things of quality have no fear of time, and this 1969 Chevrolet C10
is a fine example. With a handsome two-tone appearance, comfy A/C
interior, and plenty of V8 power, it's a head-turner that still
knows how to earn a living.
Two-tone has always been a distinctive style on vintage pickups. On
this bow tie, it emphasizes the C10's clean, straight lines and
gives these former workhorses a feeling of sophistication in their
vintage years. It also helps that the red and white paintwork
benefits from a modern clearcoat practices, so it greatly outshines
any factory hue. And we love how the upper and lower body side
accents separate the two colors. In fact, with the grille, full
trim, and bumpers shining so brightly, this is a vivid and
well-coordinated total package. And more than just a truck you'll
love to show off, this one is quite thoughtful and useful classic.
That's why the doors still shut with authority, and anytime you're
not carrying the weekend's chores, the folding tonneau snaps into
place.
Inside the two-tone switches to red and black. This looks
especially nice on the textured door panels. In fact, the padding
there matches the pattern on the bench seat for a great uniform
package. The driver gets an upgraded wood and metal three-spoke
steering wheel, and beyond that the dash is a nice and clear set of
factory gauges. To the side is a newer AM/FM/cassette stereo with
knob-style controls still keep the atmosphere feeling '60s vintage
perfect. Plus, we know you'll love opening the side vent window,
sliding the rear one, and letting the breeze flow thought the cabin
like only a classic pickup can. And on the days when you need more
cooling off, there's the air conditioner running modern R134a.
Chevy's powerful and versatile 350 cubic-inch V8 looks great in
this engine bay. Of course, it helps that it has a stellar
presentation with the bright air topper, matching valve covers, and
such tidy components like the wires, hoses, and alternator. This V8
inhales deeply through a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and it
exhales with authority as Hedman long tube headers feed the
rumbling dual exhaust. This is mated to a sturdy three-speed
automatic that feeds the 12-bolt rear end. So you know this is a
good everyday pickup. But the C10s are really sought-after because
of the trailing arm rear suspension, which helps makes these Chevys
ride much smoother than most other vintage pickups. Plus, it has
the convenience of power steering and modern Cooper Cobra rubber at
all four corners with iconic Rally wheels. So while this truck
might be a Saturday project hauler, it's also a clean Sunday car
show cruiser.
A great-looking vintage pickup with plenty of power and all the
right comforts. It's nice that this kind of complete package is
also quite affordable. But there's only one up for grabs, so hurry
up and call today!
