Vehicle Description
This Mustang Shelby GT350 is one of two identical cars ordered by
Shelby marketing and rare painted in Silver Jade. A Ford executive
drove this GT350 for one year then it headed to its first owner.
Powering this GT350 is the 290hp version of the 351ci Windsor V8
with a Shelby aluminum intake manifold, as well as Cobra valve
covers. It was converted to a 4-speed manual transmission with the
correct 3.25 Traction-Lok rear end delivering power to the ground.
The Shelby's interior features regular production Mustang's deluxe
interior dcor group. This one, covered in its original black knit
Corinthian vinyl, features Shelby identification on the door
panels, steering wheel and passenger side dash, along with Carroll
Shelby's autograph on the glove box door. The top of the console
houses Stewart Warner oil pressure and ammeter gauges, while the
dash features a tachometer, 140mph speedometer and fuel gauge. This
Shelby features inertia-reel harnesses, a roll bar, sport deck rear
seat, an AM/FM radio, tilt-away steering column and air
conditioning. Lucas fog lamps were mounted below the front bumper,
and the hood features three forward-facing NACA ducts and two
rear-facing air extraction scoops. The front and rear fenders
feature brake ducts to keep the disc/drum brakes cool. At the rear,
1965 Thunderbird-style taillights were used, along with unique
center-exit exhaust. Contrasting the body color, a reflective black
stripe with GT350 lettering can be found along the side, while
snake emblems adorn the left of the front grille and on the
C-pillars. A Marti Report confirming its story along with its
owner's manual and a copy of the Window Sticker accompany this
ultra-rare and unique Silver Jade Shelby GT350.
