Vehicle Description
Only 810 W30 hardtops were built in 1971. This car has the numbers
matching 455 with all the correct W30 parts intact, including H
cylinder heads, aluminum intake, carburetor, distributor, OW turbo
400 trans, 3:23 posi traction rear red fender wells and open faced
alternator, it has a beautiful paint job in its original colors of
Matador Red and Black Stripes. While there are no supporting
factory documents, It has won numerous awards including first place
at the OCA Nationals in 2009, 2013 and 2014 also winning junior BOC
and advancing to the Senior Class where it then won 1st place in
2015 and 2016 also winning senior BOC earning the coveted Senior
Preservation award, in 2017 it won a Gold Concours award at the
prestigious Muscle car and Corvette Nationals in Chicago where it
underwent a intense verification and judging process. This car is
well optioned with the chrome SS1 wheels with new Polyglas tires,
NOS center caps, T44 hood lock,Sport steering wheel, tilt column,
factory Rally pac gauges, Am/Fm stereo radio and 8track tape
player, power windows, power door locks, power trunk, deluxe seat
belts, light package, power steering, power brakes, AC and a Hurst
dual gate shifter. This car received an extensive frame off
restoration, the entire driveline was rebuilt, the body was lifted
and the frame was powder coated, the complete underbody and
undercarriage was either powder coated or painted, the front end
was rebuilt using Moog parts, new shocks and the gas tank, pad,
straps, fuel lines and brake lines are all new from inline tube.
The interior was replaced with all new parts from Legendary
interiors including the headliner, seat covers, door panels, rear
panels and carpet, the dash was disassembled and restored to new
condition, even the dash and console screws were repainted, brand
new windshield and back glass, all wiring harnesses under the hood
were replaced, bumpers were Show plated and Gardner Exhaust was
installed.
