Vehicle Description
This 1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS spent almost the entirety of its 50
years with the original buyer's family until it was sold to the
current owner in 2015. Before it was sold, it was subject to an
extensive professional restoration performed over several years.
The preparatory body work was completed in 2008, and the final
assembly was completed in 2014. It is finished in Crocus Yellow
base coat/clear coat paint with black interior. Its original
matching-numbers L79 327ci small-block V8 has been rebuilt and
comes complete with original Holley 4-barrel carburetor, rechromed
dual-snorkel air cleaner and new chromed valve covers. A new
pressure plate and clutch are backed by the original 4-speed manual
transmission and 12-bolt rear end, which was also rebuilt during
restoration. The Super Sport interior includes Stratobucket seats,
center console, original window wings and frames, steering wheel,
shifter and gauge cluster - all refreshed to like-new condition. It
is completed with Super Sport wheel covers and period-correct
Silvertown tires. This carefully restored Malibu SS has 44,590
original miles (mileage not indicated on the title). It is
documented with the original Tennessee registration and comes with
owner's manual, leather key holder and Protect-O-Plate.
