Vehicle Description
This beautiful Triumph TR6's complete restoration was completed in
October 2017. The work included removing the engine, transmission
and rear differential. The 2.5-liter engine has a new Rocker
assembly, timing chain, and timing gear installed and any and all
seals and gaskets were replaced. The carburetors were completely
rebuilt and any aluminum components were removed and tumbled to
bring out their luster. The block itself was painted with ceramic
black paint. The restoration of the 4-speed manual transmission
included a new reverse light switch and mounts along with new
clutch parts as needed. The clutch master cylinder and feed line
were replaced along with all necessary seals and gaskets. The rear
differential was found to be solid and only needed new seals and
gaskets. Both the front and rear suspension were inspected and new
mounts and seals were installed. All brake components were removed,
cleaned, checked, and painted and a new stainless steel exhaust
system was installed. The final stage of the restoration included
the removal of the solid walnut dash in order to rebuild the
speedometer and tachometer. All other gauges were cleaned and are
in working order. Documentation and receipts from the restoration
are available.
