The Chevrolet El Camino was introduced during the 1959 model year
as direct response to the success of the Ford Ranchero pickup.
Production of the 1694-1977 model years was based on the Chevrolet
Chevelle platform, although the vehicle was classified and titled
in North America as a truck. For 1971, the El Camino received an
updated front end styling that included large "Power Beam"
single-unit headlights, a reworked grille and front bumper, and
integral park/signal marker lights. Multiple engine options were
available from a modest 250cid inline-6 to big-block V8's. This
highly original Orange 1971 El Camino features it's numbers
matching 350 cid V8 powerpalnt and 3-Speed Turbo-Hydramatic
automatic transmission. The owner reports 78,827 original miles and
the beautiful tan interior looks the part. Additional features
include all original panels and NOS chrome and bumpers. Options
include power steering, power brakes and AM/FM Cassette Stereo.
This is an original factory AC vehicle not currently functioning.
