low mileage Mustang 2+2 has it's original Poppy Red finish and
Parchment interior. It is totally original and is equipped with the
C-code 289 cu in V-8, 3 speed manual transmission and factory air
conditioning. Other options include chrome engine dress up kit and
wheel covers with spinners.This car has undergone a frame off
restoration, and has 1300 miles since it's completion, While the
engine has 3800 since being rebuilt. The restoration was completed
in July 1998. This show car has won 1st place in every show entered
and has won the Peoples Choice Award 6 time. I has been part of a
private collection since 2003 and kept in a climate controlled
garage ever since.Thefirst-generation Ford Mustangwas manufactured
by Fordfrom March 1964 until 1973. The introduction of the Mustang
created a new class of automobile known as the pony car. The
Mustangs styling, with its long hood and short deck, proved wildly
popular and inspired a host of competition.The 1965 and 1966
Mustang Fastback was marketed as the "Mustang 2+2", because it came
with, as standard equipment, a fold-down rear seat. The car even
had chrome fender emblems "MUSTANG 2+2" in the location where other
body styles had a plain "MUSTANG" emblem. In 1967, the seat became
optional, and the "2+2" designation was dropped.
