Vehicle Description

Worldwide Vintage Autos is pleased to present this VERY rare and Orginal1974 BMW 3.0 CS Sports Coupe with Sunroof.
HISTORY
TheCScoupmodels were based on the standard sedans, and looked very similar from the front. But they were also related to the earlier2000CS, as is evident at the rear. The first model was the well-equipped2800CSof 1968. The3.0CSmodels introduced in 1971. In 1974 the smaller engined2.5CSwas made in small numbers, in response to thefuel crisis. TheCSLmodels were lightweight racing versions which competed inGroup 2form in theEuropean Touring Car Championship, with CSL drivers winning the Drivers title six times in the years 1973 and 1975 to 1979.The CSL also competed inGroup 5 Special Productionguise, winning three rounds of the1976 World Championship for Makes. InFIAGroup 4 spec, notably when driven byHans-Joachim Stuck(car featured inEnthusia Professional Racing), they competed against racing versions of thePorsche 911andFord Capriwith some success. With all the aerodynamic spoilers for racing, the car became known as the 'Batmobile'. SOURCE: WIKIPEDIA
