The Dodge Regent was produced by Dodge Canada. The low-priced Dodge
was manufactured with a similar front end to the US produced Dodge
but attached to a Plymouth Body.
In 1956 new fins graced the rear fenders. The Regent was available with the flathead 250.6 CID engine or the 277 CID V8. The 1956 proved to be the high-water mark for Dodge Canada production with over 50,000 units manufactured.
Offered is a 1956 Dodge Regent featuring the 250.6 6-cylinder engine attached to the automatic pushbutton shift control. This model was the first year 12-volt electrical system. The car has a nice clean interior and headliner. With original paint and chrome, the car shows nicely. There is evidence of surface rust in rocker panels, but the Regent represents itself as an original example of the Canadian produced automobile.
