Triple Black, Retro-Cool, 1959 Corvette, Big Brake "Street Racer".
This frame-off restored retro "Street Racer" was professionally
built by restoration shop owner as his prize possession. It is
triple black: black paint and cove, black interior and
reconditioned black hardtop. It was frame off restored with no
expense spared. Show quality tuxedo black paint professionally
sprayed over a very well preserved fiberglass body with original
bonding strips intact, new bumpers front and back, new door post,
windshield post and and windshield, new door handles and emblems
front and back. This radical roadster was built with performance in
mind, the entire drive line was rebuilt front to back. The original
283/230hp engine was bored out and rebuilt to 300hp mated to a new
5-speed Tremec manual transmission, a positraction rear end with
355 gears, new wiring harness, new brakes, new fuel system, new
radiator, new rebuilt suspension, original magneto style
distributor, new ignition shielding, correct Corvette script valve
covers, air cleaner and new heavy duty Flomaster exhaust for that
muscle car sound. Gorgeous black (mostly new) interior including
new seat covers, new seat foam, new dash pad, new deluxe door
panels with new stainless trim, new black Daytona carpet, new
restored dash and gauges and heavy duty tall shifter replacing the
original smaller shifter. Like many high performance cars, this is
a radio, heater and soft top delete car. The American Street Dream
is rolling on freshly painted rims, dog dish hub caps, 630 bias ply
tires on the front and oversize cheater slicks on the back.
