Vehicle Description
This 1963 Volkswagen Beetle just seems to radiate cool California
style. With seriously clean presentation and all the right
upgrades, this is an instant head-turner at quite an affordable
price.
You know you love this one just by the care that has gone into the
presentation. The slick blue paint is a single stage pastel. It
gives you a terrific shine while also keeping the perfect tone that
you thought could only come from original paint. It creates a
high-gloss finish highlights all the curves of the VW's
wind-cheating design. The correct bumpers shine like mirrors, and
the sweeping side trim highlights the VW's unique profile. Even the
headlights are the correct Hella units. Yes, someone really took
their time on this Beetle. And just to give it an individual
spirit, there's a great set of EMPI wheels.
The VW signature spartan interior is very well-finished, with the
exterior paint correctly applied to the door panel tops and dash.
Plus, there are plenty of great beige elements introduced on the
fresh door panels and the package tray under the dash - a detail
that's often missed on many other restored VWs. There's the classic
grippy white steering wheel with the Wolfsburg city crest proudly
affixed to the center, and there's even a glow of the white knobs
from the original AM radio that's still on display. But we bet your
favorite part of the interior will be the seats. The beige trim
with custom blue and white checkered cloth look fantastic and
really unite the full color scheme of the interior. So this is a
well-coordinated and cheery Beetle.
The engine bay is a very clean marvel of simplicity - just what
these Beetles should be. The very tidy 1300cc horizontally-opposed
four-cylinder engine is an appropriate upgrade. It fires up easily
with a magical buzz that only an air-cooled motor can. These are
far from the most powerful motors out there, but you do get an
extra kick going down the road thanks to an upgraded to a larger
displacement. Plus, it has been rebuilt to continue the VW's nearly
indestructible legacy. The rear-mounted motor gives the car good
traction, and doesn't have the power loss associated with a large
driveshaft. The four-cylinder is built to be stout and run all day
without overheating thanks to air cooling. Also, you get to make
the most out of this motor with the control of the four-speed
manual transmission. The result is a nippy little car. But let's
face it, when it looks this good, you want to be going slow enough
so everyone gets a good stare at your Bug.
The sale comes complete with title documentation, dealer manuals,
maintenance records, and much more. You know you're supposed to pay
a lot more for a head-turning Beetle like this, so then you also
know how quick you have to be to snatch up this deal. Call
