Rally Preparation Services is delighted to offer for sale this very competent and reliable 1976 Porsche 911 S Coupe Rally Car
Porsche have a long and glorious history in motorsport and the ubiquitous 911 has in many ways been the backbone of all their activities. The first 911 to compete was a 1964 type 901 which was driven to 5th O/A on the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally by Herbert Linge and Peter Falk. Four years later in 1968 Vic Elford took the first 911 Monte Carlo Rally victory for Porsche in a 911T with Björn Waldegard, future word rally champion, following up with two more wins in ’69 and ’70 in the 911S.
Professionally prepared for the 2016 Monte Carlo Historique this car finished without major dramas and has done little work since. The car of choice in period, this 911 is ideal for the more serious competitor on European regularity events and eligible for Historic Sports Car Club 70s Roadsport championship. Offered with historic papers, UK V5 registration, Porsche certificate of authenticity and a current MOT.
