Vehicle Description
Very rare a/c with 327 V-8. Very clean barn find that has been
serviced to make it a great driving car. Owned by a respected
collector. He did extensive mechanical repairs, then enjoyed
driving and showing the car. Work included complete valve job, new
lifters, push rods and rocker shafts. New cap, points and
condenser. Restored fuel tank, rebuilt carb, new pump, lines and
filter. New brake shoes, hoses, master, wheel cylinders and steel
lines. New power steering pump and turn signal switch. The car is
rock solid. The underside is original and the metal is very clean.
The frame rails, inner 1/4s and rockers have no rust.
Body is clean and straight. Doors click shut. Good looking paint,
some of it is still original. Has old oil change stickers still in
the jambs. The stainless moldings are exceptionally nice, original
chrome still shows well. Glass is in excellent shape. The interior
is in unabused condition. Carpets and front seat inserts replaced,
the rest is original. It has a very cool original headliner. The
dash area is pretty neat, even has tissue dispenser. Motor
compartment has been cleaned and touched up nicely. Original trunk
compartment has jack and spare. The Marlin was AMC's top of the
line, considered a personal luxury car. The fastback design is
sporty, interior is stylish.
