European Motor Studio is very proud to offer this absolutely stunning and incredibly rare 1968 Lamborghini Islero 400GT for sale. Chassis number 6327 is finished in its original factory color combination of Blu Notte Metalizatto over Senape leather interior and still retains its original factory 4-Cam 12 cylinder engine number 2484. Islero 6327 is the 106th Islero 400GT off the production line of just 125 GT's ever made. 6327 left the Sant'Agata Bolognese factory on October 30 1968 and new delivered to Dottore Giordiello of Naples Italy, who owned a Lamborghini dealer. Imported into the US sometime in the 1980's to a collector in Massachusetts and then to a collector in Louisiana until European Motor Studio purchased the car in 2013 and restored it. The car has since been stripped down and returned to its original exterior color of Blu Notte Metalizatto. All of the trim, chrome and glass were removed from the car for the paint and all new trim replaced, all of the chrome re-plated, all new factory correct light lenses and all of the original glass kept intact (original Automobile Club of Italy sticker still on the windshield dated 1971). The original dashboard, center and lower console, door panels and gauge surround are all original pigskin leather from the factory. The driver, passenger and back seats have been recovered in new leather and the carpets have been replaced with correct Wilton Wool. The 5 factory Miura style knock off wheels have all been re-powder coated and 5 new Michelin XWX tires have been placed on. The top half of the engine has been rebuilt with a full valve job and new gaskets. All 6 Weber carbs have been rebuilt and tuned correctly along with all new seals, hoses and belts. The entire electrical system has been fully sorted with everything working as it should including all interior and dash lights. The headlights are fully functioning and operate smoothly. The entire undercarriage has been completely stripped of all suspension, brake and steering components and either re-powder coated, replaced or rebuilt with all new factory zinc plating, factory stickers and brand new factory bushings. The clutch has been replaced as well as a brand new factory Ansa exhaust. The undercoating has been completely stripped to bare metal and re-applied as close to factory look as possible. There was no rust or damage found under the car and the original rockers are still intact. The radiator, oil cooler, alternator and starter were removed and sent out to be rebuilt and the gas tank boiled out and treated. The 12 cylinder engine is a marvel to drive with a beautiful harmonious mechanical sound. It starts right up and operates smoothly and free from any smoke or overheating. The car is a beautiful blend of sport and refined GT. Very smooth and quiet down the highway at 70mph, but under acceleration or in corners it shows a refined sports car like demeanor. The Islero 400GT is truly one of Sant'Agata's best Grand Touring Sports cars and one of Italy's rarest and highly underrated classics. Accompanied with the sale of Islero 6327 is the original tool roll, spare tire, jack, keys and Islero handbook and leather case. This is a very rare opportunity to acquire one of Lamborghini's early front engine V12 GT cars that was built under the Ferrucio era.
