Have you ever wanted a limited edition musting but could not find an affordable California Special or High Country Special? Now here's your chance! The Bluebonnet Special (or Lone Star Limited) was built in even fewer numbers than either of those. The Bluebonnet Special was sold only in the 61 DSO (Dallas) and only in 1967. Out of the 175 built, there are about 25 known to still exist and this example was one of the earliest specimens known.
C-code 289 V8 rebuilt and runs well. Hardened valve seats installed so you can run unleaded pump gas. New Ford Racing z-spec T5 manual transmission installed at restoration. I have the original 3 speed manual transmission that was removed from the car. It's been rebuilt and can go with the car if you want it. A/C is modern R134a and works well. Glass is tinted (not film...tinted glass). Seat belts upgraded to 3-point harness and retro sound radio installed. Restoration was about 5 year ago and has not been driven much since. Stored inside and has not seen any rain since restoration. Could use some freshening up..If you are looking for a solid driver then this is your car.
