We purchased this incredible find directly from Richard Rawlings of
Gas Monkey Garage and will be featured in this season episode of
Fast N' Loud! What makes it so great? It has 168 actual documented
miles; it is one of the lowest-mileage Mustangs in existence! The
original owner intended to drive it but never did. He had 50 cars
in a garage with only one door. This car was built in June 17, 1993
at Ford's Dearborn, Michigan factory and was delivered to Danielson
Ford Inc., in Brooklyn, Connecticut. It came with the following
options: Preferred Equipment Package 245A, which offered cruise
control and an AM/FM stereo with premium sound and cassette deck
(code R); feature car option, four-way power driver's seat,
air-conditioning and leather seats. The original window sticker is
still on the passenger side window and plastic sheeting still
covers the front and rear passenger seats. For 1993, a feature
edition of special-edition LX 5.0 convertibles was released in the
spring with Vibrant White exteriors with white leather interiors.
The car's paint and trim are in excellent condition, as are its
windows, which are clear and intact. The car's lights are in
similar shape, haze-free and they look showroom-new. This Pony
rolls on Michelin XGT24 radials, 225/55ZR16 at all four corners,
surrounding white aluminum wheels. The tires and wheels look
fantastic. This car's bodywork is solid and straight, including the
power-folding cloth top that has never been down, its engine bay
and undercarriage is very tidy, the battery appears new, the cargo
area is in very good order and the bumpers look great and fit well
to the body. Under the hood is a high-output version of Ford's
venerable 302 CID V-8 engine with sequential electronic fuel
injection and it breathes via Flowmaster exhausts. The engine is
hooked to a Borg-Warner T-5 five-speed manual transmission (a rare
combination) and originally had a 2.73:1 rear end with
Traction-Lok. It now has a 3.73 rear end and Kenny Brown subframes.
Driver convenience features include power locks, power mirrors,
power windows, air-conditioning, power steering, power brakes and
cruise control. Inside, the white leather front buckets and rear
bench seats are in excellent order and appear showroom-new. The
contrasting black carpet is in similar condition, as are the
matching headliner, instrument panel and four-spoke steering wheel
with airbag. The inner door panels are white and black and mirror
the rest of the interior's condition. The mirror glass, center
console and shift lever all look new. Completing the interior is a
factory electronic AM/FM premium stereo with cassette deck. This
car was one of six Mustangs auctioned by Dennis Collins at
Barrett-Jackson's Scottsdale auction in January 2017, where it set
a price record for its year and model. Some auction veterans said
this auction represents a tectonic change in the Mustang market and
the start of a new beginning for third- and fourth-generation
Mustang markets. Richard purchased the car from Dennis for is own
personal collection, we got it from him at soft moment. This
particular Mustang would be an excellent long term investment car
for a younger generation collector as this Fox Body will definitely
have no problem appreciating in the next ten years. This would be
the car to have when buyers born in the 1980's reach the 50 years
old mark, the time to buy an example like this is right now and
hold on for a decade or two! This car won MCA Gold in Unrestored
Trailer Class and documentation includes its original window
sticker, copy of the certificate of origin, vehicle invoice and
delivery checklist. This car is currently located at our facility
in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 168
actual miles. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear,
mileage exempt title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! Click here for our
