Vehicle Description
52,700 actual miles. This is a real AMX born with a 390 and
4-speed. Very solid original metal. The mileage is claimed to be
original and upon our inspection we find it very believable.
Underneath the car seems to be original, there are no signs of rust
or patches that I found. The quarter panels look like they're
original and even the factory spot welds are still visible around
the lip. The body is clean and straight, fits nice, no bubbles. It
has been repainted its original Bittersweet orange metallic color.
It shows very well. The jambs are smooth and shiney. Bumpers and
trim are bright on the car. The rubber seals and weather strips are
soft and very good. There are some items that inherently go bad-
the taillights and center reflector crack, this one is excellent.
Door handles pit. These are excellent, even the silver frost is not
worn. Grills get damaged, this one has only a hairline crack. Has
original chrome wheels on over 20 year old Eagle ST tires
(obviously not driven much). Original interior is unabused. The
entire dash area is very nice, still has original radio. Door
panels, carpet, upholstery, headliner look very nice. Clean
original trunk compartment. Has original plaid mat and collapsible
spare with air bottle. Clean motor compartment very much in tact.
Has original chrome valve covers, air cleaner with heat riser and
exhaust manifolds.
Upgraded Edelbrock intake and Holley carb. The car runs strong, it
was driven an hour to get here. A 390 big block with a 4-speed in a
little 2 seater. Is it a muscle car or a sports car? Either way
it's blast to drive!
