Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this stunning 1979
Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. These awesome cars are starting to rise in
value and popularity. A Camaro just like this one was just like
this being featured in Season 2 of Stranger Things. This particular
one is on the more rare as it came from the factory with the A/C
DELETE Package and 4-Speed manual close-ratio transmission with
Hurst shifter. The person who ordered this car new was obviously
looking for speed and performance! Under the hood of this bad boy
sits a built-up 350 CID V8 with only 1,000 miles since rebuild. It
was professionally rebuilt by Pilcher Racing in Alabama and was
featured on their Facebook page during the build. The motor
features a Comp Cams camshaft, QFC carburetor with electric choke
and aluminum intake, Accel HEI distributor with all new plugs and
wires, and a set of Hedman headers with an all-new big dual exhaust
that really rumbles. The motor also features a chrome accessory kit
to include air cleaner, valve covers, and dipstick. Inside the
engine bay you will also find a new power steering pump and hoses,
as well as a new master cylinder, brake booster, and all new brake
lines. Under the car, new leaf springs and rear coil over shocks
have been added making this car ride incredibly smooth, and
extremely straight. That also helps keep the back tires from
breaking loose so you can floor it and go! The exterior of this Z28
is in terrific condition and features newer correct Dark Blue
Metallic paint that has been polished to a brilliant shine. All the
body panels are super straight and the trunk has all-new weather
stripping on it. The amazing thing about this car is that it still
features the ORIGINAL CLOTH INTERIOR that is still in outstanding
condition. It is also equipped with an aftermarket AM/FM/CD player,
power windows, and tilt steering wheel, which you don't often find
on these cars. Extra gauges have been cleverly hidden in the dash
to keep a closer eye on temperature and oil pressure. The package
shelf has been replaced with a brand new one. So, just how rare is
this Camaro? It is one of only 18,987 Camaro Z/28s built with a 4
speed, with 84,877 Camaro Z/28s in total. Out of the 282,571
Camaros built in 1979, only 61,509 were built with Factory A/C
delete! Rarity is the number one thing that makes these cars go up
in value, and this Camaro has it! The second most important thing
is correctness, and this car has not been cut up or raced. It even
sports its original color combination inside and out. Whether you
are looking for a daily driver, or a weekend cruiser - this Camaro
Z28 will be a fantastic addition to a car collection of any size.
