For sale in our Chicago showroom is this very nicely done 1963
Chevrolet Chevy II Nova. The first thing you see is the stunning
House of Color Black on Cinnamon Pearl two-tone exterior, the
opposing colors being split by a slick silver stripe. Underneath
the hood is a 350 cubic-inch Small Block Chevy equipped with the
factory iron heads and steel crank, running at a smooth 10:1
compression produced by hypereutectic pistons. It contains a
thumping 260 Comp High energy hydraulic cam sending kinetic force
through rocker rollers. Sitting high and mighty is an Edelbrock
intake with a Demon 650 carburetor containing an electric choke,
and it's all wearing a beautiful custom paint-matched air cleaner
as its crown. This majestic motor has some Jet Hot coated headers
which feed a full length dual exhaust utilizing Flowmaster 2 stage
mufflers which give it an unmatched throaty tone. The serpentine
belt drive system is from a late 80s V8 Camaro, and consists of a
new alternator, water pump, power steering pump, and A/C
compressor. The power plant sends all the converted energy through
a Muncie 4-speed transmission that contains a Hurst shifter as well
as a Centerforce street/strip clutch controlled by a hydraulic
throw out bearing. Pushing through to the rear wheels is a GM
10-bolt that is rocking a 4.11:1 gear ratio, drum brakes, and air
shocks. The wheels are by Rocket Racing and are wrapped in nearly
new BF Goodrich tires. When the vehicle was last acquired it
endured a complete disassembly and restoration which was completed
in 2006. It has since spent its life in heated storage during it
hibernation every fall and winter, and was lightly driven
throughout the spring and summers. An update in the quality of the
ride is brought to the table through a Heidts front suspension that
consists of disc brakes, as well as a power rack and pinion
steering system. A Glasstek fiberglass hood sporting a 4" cowl
gives the car an aggressive, stout look. Underneath, the firewall
has been smoothed and painted, and if that isn't a clean enough
look, the battery was relocated to the trunk and it even has a
disconnect switch. Hugging you when you're in the cabin are a pair
of black leather bucket seats up front which ensure the driver and
front passengers safety with new seat belts. The headliner, carpet,
sill plates, door panels, and rear seat covers are all new as well.
A third brake light has been added to ensure the car is easily
seen, even at night. A custom tunnel and front console were
installed, and the dash was painted to match the stunning exterior.
