Vehicle Description
A true collectable classic with all these upgrades should never be
this affordable. But this 35th Anniversary 2002 Chevrolet Camaro
Z28 has plenty of terrific SS-style upgrades and the instant appeal
of a low-mileage classic... and it's all available right now for a
terrific price!
This car looks stunning in its original shade of Monterey Maroon
Metallic. Of course, it also helps that this car was treated with
respect from day one. After all, 2002 was not only the 35th
anniversary of the Camaro, but also it's the final year for the
fourth-generation cars. This was a rare color with traditionally
less than 5% of total production receiving this deep maroon-like
hue. But it's hard to see why it could be so rare since it does
such a great job of coordinating with the black fascia, side
pillars, and roof. And the upgrade to SLP's SS-style hood only
amplifies this appeal with the black streak drawing attention to
the big hood scoop. Even the wheels get in on this attractive
darkness with an upgrade to a graphite colored version from a late
Corvette Z06. So you get great originality with some standout
upgrades, and the investment doesn't end with the exterior.
The black leather interior was great for offering comfort and
performance without compromising either. The supportive bucket
seats are both grippy in the corners and comfortable for all-day
drives. Plus, yours is power adjustable to find the perfect driving
position. Carpets, door panels, and the dash are immaculate... and
even the back seats appear to have never seen sat in. Because this
is a special Camaro, we're happy to see it's a loaded one, too.
That means power windows, power locks, keyless entry, dual airbags,
cruise control, power mirrors, tilt wheel, power steering, and cold
air conditioning. Plus, just above the factory AM/FM/CD stereo is a
35th anniversary commemorative plaque to always remind you how
distinct this Camaro is.
The exterior already hints at some great performance upgrades, and
you really get to understand it better when you open the hood.
These later fourth-gen Z/28s were already a terrific muscle
machine, because they shared the fuel-injected LS1 5.7-liter V8
with the contemporary Corvette. And the power gets upped beyond the
'Vette thanks to an investment in an SLP air induction system and
long tube headers. Plus, this has great supporting upgrades like an
Optima Red Top battery, and an aluminum driveshaft that connects
the four-speed automatic to an upgraded performance rear end. This
hot Camaro was also received the right components to feel confident
on the streets, including Koni struts, tubular rear control arms,
engine bracer bar, and Hotchkis front & rear sway bars. This total
control package is completed with four-wheel disc brakes backed by
sticky Michelin Pilot tires.
This is a high-horsepower anniversary car from the final year of
its generation. They can't get much more classic than this, and it
will never be more affordable than now. Call today!!!
