Being offered is a very nice 1987 GMC Caballero that has been rebuilt into an El Camino SS clone, it is one of the best looking Caballero’s we have ever seen and is turn key ready, this truck drives and performs like a new one. In 1987 there were only 1,882 Caballero's built. There is a Choo Choo custom label on the cowl of the car but we do not have any documentation other than that to confirm it was originally a Choo Choo Caballero. This vehicle is in very nice shape from front to back and top to bottom and is finished in high gloss and very sharp bright red paint with all the SS striping to give it a super sharp look. This truck has a very solid body and undercarriage and a bed that is in unbelievable shape. The vehicle runs and drives excellent with the Chevrolet 350 V-8 motor. This is one of the nicest Caballero’s we have seen and is in a condition that is becoming nearly impossible to find.
The exterior of the car is excellent with eye catching bright red paint on a no rust body with all the SS ground effects and badging to really set this car off. The body on the car is excellent with very good body panel fit and lines. The bed of the truck is extremely clean (check out the pictures), it appears to have only been used lightly with no dings or dents whatsoever and the tail gate is rust free and works effortlessly. The bed also features a professionally installed toneau cover and rubber bed cover that is very functional and looks great too. The vehicle is equipped with a sharp set of color keyed sport wheels with Michellin tires. The rear bumper and chrome are in excellent shape. The exterior hardware is all in tact and in great shape. The vehicle is equipped with a Tow Hitch and wiring. This is a super nice, super solid Caballero with looks to spare.
As can be seen in the pictures the interior of the car is Awesome. The interior features excellent gray velour seats that have couch like comfort and add to the sporty look and feel of the car. The car is equipped with factory installed air conditioning that is blowing cold, also has functional heat. The vehicle is equipped with a nice am/fm stereo. The dashboard is excellent with no cracks, the gauges, including factory tach, are all in excellent shape. The vehicle has excellent door panels and headliner. The vehicle is equipped with a tilt wheel, cruise control,power steering, power windows, power door locks, remote mirrors and power front disc brakes. This car is fully equipped and rides like a dream.
Mechanically the vehicle is equipped with a smooth running 350 V8 motor with a smooth shifting 4 speed automatic transmission. The car runs, drives, steers, and brakes with no issues. The vehicle has a very clean and neat engine compartment as can be seen in the pictures. This vehicle is as comfortable to drive as any car on the road, it is truly a very solid and smooth running Caballero. These trucks are becoming harder and harder to find in this kind of condition and are becoming more collectible as fewer are available, if you are looking for a super nice Caballero this is one to take a look at.
