Gateway Classic Cars Philadelphia is pleased to have a 1986 Chevrolet Corvette available in our PHILLY location. A yellow convertible was the pace car for the 1986 Indianapolis 500 race. This marked the return of the convertible body style, absent from the Corvette lineup since 1975. All 7,315 1986 convertible Corvettes (all exterior colors) had "Indy 500 Pace Car" console identification. All the convertibles also came with the full race decal set. This Corvette is finished in Dark Red Metallic with the Saddle interior. It has 8,680 original miles. It is equipped with the 5.7-liter V8 with Tuned Port Induction. It also has a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. It is also equipped with the radiator cooling boost fan and an engine oil cooler. Air conditioning, power windows and locks and a Bose sound system are some of the features that make this a great ride. This low mileage Corvette is completely stock and shows as it did new. Other equipment includes power antenna, Dual electronic control sport mirrors, anti-lock brakes a six-way power seat and aluminum wheels. The Corvette is known as the only true American sports car and this is a fine example.
