For sale is a beautiful 1972 Corvette that has received an extensive restoration and driven just 5000 miles since. The vehicle is equipped with its factory original 350 motor (numbers matching) and Muncie 4 speed transmission. It is equipped with power steering, disc brakes and power windows. The car has super slick base clear/coat paint and looks better than new and in the very desirable and rare Steel Cities Gray. Upgraded 18” Rally wheels with new tires radial tires set this car off. Tons of receipts document all the work done.
This Corvette is very drivable with its original 350 small block motor and Muncie 4 speed transmission with a 3:70 posi rear end. The motor has received an extensive overhaul and upgraded to around 300 HP with receipts from Performance Clinic. The engine bay is show quality in it appearance. Underneath, the car has been fully rebuilt and is neat and tidy. The frame is rust free and in excellent condition. All the suspension bushings, front and rear springs, shocks, brakes calipers and brakes lines were done in the restoration. The chambered exhaust system is new and sound great.
The paint job on this car is one of its strongest selling points. It is very straight and slick, one of the nicest I’ve seen on a fiberglass car. It is base coat/clear coat done in the very desirable and least seen Steel Cites Gray. All the emblems were removed to give it a resto vibe. They are easily put back if you prefer a more stock appearance. There are a couple small chips, but they you have to hunt to find them. The bumpers are original, but been re chromed and look like new. The windshield moldings are polished and look great. The front grills were new as well. All the weather stripping was replaced around the doors, windows and T tops. The rims and tires are brand new, tires still have stickers on them. It has the perfect stance. I also have the original 15” Rally wheels with good T/A radials, new trim rings and center top hat covers if you prefer them……your choice of either set.
The interior of this Corvette presents as it did from the factory and is very nice, clean and intact. The carpet, door panels, dash, gauges, console, and rear compartment are in very good condition. All the gauges, speedometer and tachometer work except for the clock. The vehicle is equipped with its original T handle shifter and a working Corvette radio. The windows are clear, crack free with minor scratches. There are no cracks in the dash or steering wheel, no rips or tears in the vinyl seats. The T top covers also come with the car.
The car was purchased from a long-time owner who performed regular service on it every 1500-2000 miles. It was summer driven and stored in the winters. I have over $15,000 in receipts for just parts and a meticulous diary of the work performed that come with the car. There is a CD with pics of the vehicle and its restoration. It’s been fully serviced and ready to drive and enjoy.
The vehicle starts, runs, and drives like it should. Most everything works on the car; lights pop up, wipers and door, horn, turn signals, etc. It is a high-quality car both cosmetically and mechanically.
