1965 Ford Mustang/Shelby GT350-R Tribute finished in Wimbledon
White with Guardsman Blue stripes over black interior. Beginning
its life, and titled as a 1966 Ford Mustang, this car has been
completely transformed to tribute the legendary 1965 Shelby
GT350-R. Featured on the cover and centerfold car in the June 2006
issue of Mustang & Fords magazine. Powered by the 302 'Mexican'
block V8 and shifted via the short ratio top loader 4-speed with
Hurst shifter. Fiberglass Shelby hood/front fenders, R-Model
apron/rear window, side louver block offs. Motor components
include; 3.25 Trick Flow forged steel crank, Crower Sportsman steel
rods, Ross 12.5:1 compression forged pistons, World Products
Windsor Sr. cylinder heads (iron), Crane 1.6 roller rockers, Crane
solid lifter cam, Cobra reproduction dual-plane intake (ported),
March underdrive pulleys, electronic ignition (Ford Racing
performance parts), Gemini Racing 10qt oil pan and Holley Blue
electric pump with 1/4 fuel lines. BG Speed Demon 750cfm carburetor
with mechanical secondaries. 3 side exit exhaust with Hooker Super
Competition headers and Edelbrock RPM Series mufflers. Centerforce
clutch and McLeod aluminum flywheel with a 9 Ford Traction-Lok rear
end and 3.89 gears. Suspension components include; 750lb front coil
springs/Koni shocks, Reinforced shock towers and Export brace with
Monte Carlo bar, Polyurethane bushings, adjustable 1 sway bar,
250lb rear leaf springs/Koni shocks, adjustable shackles, Panhard
bar, override traction bars and custom subframe connectors. Kelsey
Hayes four piston front disc brakes with Porterfield pads, and 2.5
rear drums. 15x7 American Racing Torque Thrust wheels with
225/60/15 Hoosier tires. Autometer Sport Competition gauges.
R-Model seats/Roll bar, rear package shelf, aluminum door panels.
