This stunning 1970 Z/28 Chevrolet Camaro has been frame off
restored to an impeccable standard by the experts at the General
Motors COPO Build Center where all new COPO Camaros are built
today. The restoration resulted in laser straight body panels
before being finished in a beautiful coat of its correct, trim tag
matching, code 51 Daytona Yellow paint. The high quality of the
restoration extends to the undercarriage, where every nut, bolt,
and fastener shines like new. Powering this beautiful Z/28 is the
proven LT1 V8 mated to a Turbo 400 Hydramatic automatic
transmission and sturdy 12-bolt rear axle. Certified by renown
Camaro expert Jerry MacNeish, this Camaro was produced in the
Norwood GM assembly plant, in Ohio during the 5th week of April,
1970. Mr. MacNeish indicated in his Camaro Hi-Performance, Inc.
Appraisal that the engine block is correct for the 1970 Z/28
Camaro, however, the engine pad has been machined and re-stamped
with new numbers. The correct code 711 black standard interior has
been restored and upgraded to the deluxe version and looks brand
new in all areas. The front bucket seats with headrests, door
panels, center console and upholstery all show extremely well. The
glass, trim, and chrome are also in excellent condition. Additional
features on the 1 of 8,733 Z/28s' is the rally sport equipment,
power disc brakes, power steering and factory style dual exhaust.
