Now available in our Philly location is a 1973 Mustang Mach 1. The
Ford Mustang Mach 1 is a performance-oriented option package of the
Ford Mustang, originally introduced by Ford in August 1968 as a
package for the 1969 model year. The Mach 1 title adorned
performance oriented Mustang offerings until the original
retirement of the moniker in 1978. Ford first used the name "Mach
1" in its 1959 display of a concept called the "Levacar Mach I" at
the Ford Rotunda. The Mach 1 package was only available in the
'SportsRoof' body style previously known as the 'Fastback', never
on the hardtop or convertible. Many resto-mod visual conversions
have since been performed by owners and enthusiasts, but are not
Mach 1's by VIN code. This Mach 1 is a Q code which means that it
was a Mach 1 from the factory and was equipped with a CJ motor.
This Mach was equipped with the factory NASA hood and two-tone Hood
paint, power steering and brakes. The engine has been upgraded with
an Edelbrock Carburetor and intake and HEI ignition. The 351 and
the C6 Automatic both are smooth and shift as they should. This
Mach 1 runs great and looks even better. The original Mach 1 seats
and the rest of the interior are in excellent condition. This is
one Pony you don't want to miss. To view this 1973 Mustang Mach 1
