Vehicle Description

I may also be interested in a trade.

Mid 50s chevy truck hot rod.

This is one heck of a car!

I will list all that has done to the car some of what I write may be out of order but you at least you have the info.

I will start with the front of the car and go back. The bumper is fiberglass. Jeff Bar fitted the bumper with a lot of manipulation but it looks great. The endura bumper weighted about 100 pounds and the fiberglass about 6 pounds. The door handles and operating mechanism was replaced both sides. Side mirrors replaced. The tail light lens was replaced. The head light bezels were replaced. The wheels are form Summit Racing. They are all aluminum. The hood scoops were replaced. Hood tac stopped working as they all do they are junk and not very accurate.

Inside the car.

New steering wheel, new mirror. New tach on the column. Line lock on the shifter. New turbo shifter. Radio removed to save weight. Seat covers are new, door panels are new, door handles and arm rests are new. Jeff Barr installed the roll cage. When the car is sold the rear seat will go with it. It is in great shape. It has been recovered

Now the good stuff.

The motor is Bored 45 over and stroked to 463 CI. 4 Bolt mains. The heads are Kauffman Aluminum heads and flow 360 cfm and they are ported. The intake is aluminum single plane. I do not know the Mfg. The intake is ported as well. The spacer.. I'm not sure of the manufacturer., but, it is a good one, it cost me $150.00. The carb is a Quick Fuel either 850 or 900 CFM I don't remember. The crank is from SCAT. The cam shaft was special ordered and ground to a 610 lift. I do not remember the duration, but I think it was 285. We installed the 165 roller rockers. All of the bolts are the best. We did not do anything half way.The pistons and rods are Eagle I believe. Not sure who made the bearings but I know they were the best. We reduced the compression to about 10.3 and could run the car on 93 octane. The motor made between 625 and 640 Horse power. Some of of my friends called it GoatZILLA!  I can tell you it's a bad bitch!!.

I wanted the car to be competitive on the track but also street able. On race day added some 112. I also used a product called Boostane. GREAT stuff. Just go to their web site for purchase. The ignition is MSD but I do not know which one I know that it we installed the box under the passenger side dash. The car never ran hot even in Florida, at a long light would maybe get to 190 - 200. Which is nothing to worry about. All the heater mechanics were removed looking to save weight. The fuel cell is about 12 gallons. The car will get 10 mph if you keep your foot out of it, but what fun is that!!The battery is in the trunk installed with all the proper wiring.

The transmission was rebuilt by turbo Transmissions with a 10 inch converter. I do not know the stall.. It is a turbo 400 built to withstand 800 plus HP. We installed a Mosser rear end (sp) 4:11 gear. Hooker headers and I think the mufflers are from PYPES. 2 chamber kinda like the flow masters.

It has never beat on the street. I raced a BMW turbo all wheel drive and cleaned his clock. The new Camaro was no competition. I race a Roush Mustang on an 1/8 mile track and beat him but to be honest, I think in the quarter he might have won. He had a bad as super charge but, I beat him off the line. On an 1/8th mile track the car will run, depending on the temps from 7:15 to 7:40's. 1/4 mile track the best I ever did was 11:20's something air was heavy and temps were in the upper 80's. I had always wanted to install an 8 inch because I believe the car is capable of a high 10 second run, maybe 10:80's. .

New shocks all the way round new springs new suspension in the rear with air bags new aluminum drive shaft & Ujoints. New disc breaks in rear and new master cylinder.

This is a solid old Goat, never any rust.
