For Sale: 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air in Westminster, Maryland

Vehicle Description

Some History:

I purchased the car in 1998 in Bakersfield CA.  Car spent it's entire life there prior to that.  Car was originally Seafoam Green with white top.   It's a true Belair, pwr-pac car.  Built in the Oakland CA Plant.  Car was repainted in 1968.  So paint is tired but very straight.   Still shines well for a 50 year paint job as you can see in the pics.  There is a lot of crows feet coming through now and to be a show car, it will need to be painted.  Stainless all around is very nice.

Since purchasing the car, it has never seen any bad weather.  ALWAYS garaged.   The car has always been a driver.  Mostly weekends and car shows.  I've put maybe 4000 miles on it over the last 19+ years. Probably only 700 in the last 5 years due to where I work and live now.

Here are things I've done to the car over the years:

-New carb/intake.  weiand intake, 750 eldelbrock, electric choke

-Added a electric fan as I use to put in parades a lot.  Had a friend running for public office and they used it for eye candy.

-Water pump

-Alternator (last year)

-Valve covers/Air Cleaner

-Heater Core/new fan

-New Brakes on Rear

-Disc Brake conversion on Front

-Rebuilt entire front end.  New springs, bushings, brake lines, etc.

-Rebuilt factor power steering.  Pump is later 60's model mounted on engine low.  Not a factory generator version.  Much better.

-Rebuilt turn signals

-New Exahaust; Flowmasters.  Nice rumble but not too loud inside while driving.

-New Gas Tank/sending unit

-New American Classic Tires (Less than 500 miles on them)

-New 700R4 Transmission (about 300 miles)

-350V8

-Car is an original AC car.  The evaporator, controls, and vents are still in the car.

-Car sports the CA 1-piece bumper which is suppose to be original.  It was re-chromed at some point.

-Interior trim was chromed at some point in it's history.  Looks very nice.  (Doors and windows)

-Headliner is aftermarket and very nice.  Black

-Carpet is aftermarket and very nice. Black
