Inc? MotoeXotica Classic Cars can help. We are pleased to offer
this awesome one owner 1984 Nissan 300ZX Turbo 50th Anniversary
Edition. This one-owner, garage-kept car was made in December 1983
in Nissan's Shatai factory in Hiratsuka, Kanagawa, Japan. We were
fortunate to purchase this pristine 50th Anniversary 300ZX from the
original owners daughter. The car was willed to her upon her
fathers passing and has fond memories of him purchasing the car new
in 1984. She believes she knows where the original paperwork is
for the car, but has not come upon it to date. It does comes with
2 sets of wheels and tires, both 50th anniversary wheels and one
set of black come with the car. Dressed in Light Pewter Metallic
over Thunder Black, (code 365) the car's paint and trim are in
overall excellent order with a few minor imperfections seen upon
close inspection. The graphics denote the turbocharged engine and
that this is an anniversary edition car. The glass panels,
including the optional T-top roof panels, are in very good order,
clear and intact. The car's lights, including the semi-popup
headlights, are in good order. This car rolls on newer tires
surrounding the original factory 50th gold wheels. The wheels
finned, five-lug wheels are in good overall condition and each one
is surrounded by a radial tire, size 225/50R16. The original gold
wheels are available. The car's bodywork is straight and solid
overall, the engine bay is tidy, the battery is in very good order,
the cargo area is good order and the bumpers fit tightly to the
body. Under that hood with the scoop on the driver's side is a 3.0L
SOHC V-6 engine with a Garrett T2 turbocharger mated to a
Borg-Warner T5 five-speed manual transmission and backed by a R200
rear end. Driver convenience features include air-conditioning,
cruise control, power steering, power four-wheel disc brakes, power
mirrors, power windows, remote hatch and fuel filler door releases,
rear window defroster, rear wiper and a rear wing. Inside, the
black interior (code T) is in overall as-new condition. The black
leather seats with anniversary logos are in near perfect condition
and have air bladders within the bolsters to keep driver and
passenger in place on curvy roads. The matching carpet and
headliner are in similar condition to the seats. The fuel gauge is
inoperable but the instrument panel, replete with digital readouts,
in also in very good order, as is the factory two-spoke steering
wheel. The Anniversary edition 300ZX was the only Nissan model to
receive cruise control and stereo functions set into the steering
wheel; equipment drivers take for granted today. The inner door
panels, mirror glass, center console and shifter are all in good
condition. Completing the interior is a factory AM/FM 80-watt
stereo with cassette and eight speakers. This model has an extra
audio enhancement, Nissan's Body Sonic system, meaning those eight
speakers were built into the seats, allowing driver and passenger
to feel every bit of bass from their music. The 1984 300ZX 50th
Anniversary Edition, released to celebrate the automaker's
half-century, was a turbocharged two-seater coupe. All 50th
Anniversary Editions came equipped with a digital dash and
ancillary gauges including average mileage, G-force and compass
readouts, in-car electronic adjustable shock absorbers,Body
sonicspeakers in the seats, cruise and radio controls in the
steering wheel, mirrored T-tops, embroidered leather seats,
embroidered floor mats, 16-inch aluminum wheels, rear fender
flares, flared front fenders, a 50th AE logo badge on the driver's
side front fender and grey cloth indoor car cover with 50AE
printing. The only option available to the 50th Anniversary Edition
owner was the choice between anautomaticor a five-speedmanual
transmission. Five thousand, one hundred forty-eight AE models were
produced for the U.S. market and of those, only 3,712 came with the
manual transmission. Unlike its predecessors, the Z31 featured a V6
engine, asingle overhead camengine available as a naturally
aspiratedVG30Eor a turbochargedVG30ET. The W-series engines
featured redesigned water jackets for additional cooling and fully
floating piston wrist pins. The 1984 to 1987 turbo models featured
aGarrettT3 turbocharger with a 7.8:1 compression ratio. Finally,
these engines were equipped with self-adjusting hydraulic valve
lifters. Competitors to this Z-car in 1984 included Chevrolet's
Corvette, Ferrari's Mondial Quattrovalvole, Lotus' Turbo Esprit,
Maserati's Biturbo, Mazda's RX-7, Porsche's 944 and Toyota's Supra.
