Vehicle Description
The first generation of Camaro was built for the 1967 through 1969
model year. And even though that seems like a short run, these cars
are still some of the most collectible Camaros depending on the
Engine and Appearance package you chose, and there were many.
Engine options were as many as 12 in 1969 with three main packages
that included the RS, SS and Z/28 with several special packages
sold through GM and specialized dealers of performance parts and
installation.
This beautiful '68 Camaro has over $15,000 in receipts for bodywork
and paint. The exterior of this car shows very well. The black
vinyl top is in excellent condition as well. The bumpers and trim
are new and show well. The car is powered by a FastBurn 385 crate
engine with Aluminum Vortec heads, capable of 385 hp at 5600 RPM.
It has an Edelbrock 750cfm electric choke carburetor. The Camaro
was also given headers, dual exhaust, chrome valve covers and air
cleaner, Be Cool Aluminum radiator and cooling fans, power brakes
and power steering, MSD ignition, Alpine CD player. There is a
receipt for engine showing that the engine alone was over $4,000.
The interior is new and remains in immaculate condition. Over
$1,200 was spent on front drum to disc conversation. The Camaro is
also equipped with Vintage Air conditioning. The car rides on
Cragar wheels with BFG Goodrich tires.
