Very low mileage and original examples of the R107 Mercedes SL are exceptionally difficult to find and draw a huge premium in the current market. There is copy of the Auotcheck report on this car pictured below. It is totally clean, shows no accident history, and verifies the low mileage. The low original mileage is also verified not only by the condition of the car, but also by the clear Ohio title, pictured below, showing the mileage as "Actual."
This Mercedes is verified as "numbers matching" meaning both the engine and the transmission in the car are the correct and original units that were installed in the factory. Very importantly this 560SL has the "vehicle data card" from the Mercedes factory, which is pictured below. It shows the original engine number to be "117967 12 026947." We have checked the engine and confirmed that same engine number stamped on the left side of the engine block. There is also a sticker on the main case of the transmission, pictured below, showing the correct corresponding VIN. All of the paint and trim codes are also correct and match the vehicle data card and the data tag by the radiator.
The previous owner was from Kentucky and within the past month this Mercedes has made 3 trips between Cincinnati, OH and Lexington, KY, which totals over 250 miles. During that time the car was flawlessly reliable with absolutely no issues. This 560SL comes with both the soft-top and auxiliary hardtop.
