Vehicle Description
Unusually well-equipped for a street rod, this 1934 Chevrolet
3-Window Coupe combines a whole host of great features with
absolutely killer looks to produce a ride that's an absolute blast
to drive while radiating seriously magnetic curb appeal. With just
over 1000 miles under its belt since its build, it's just getting
broken in and stands at the ready to provide a future of memorable
cruising moments.
Sporting a very cool, two-tone burnt orange and metallic gold paint
job, the steel body on this coupe is truly a sight to behold. The
way its tapered hood widens as it extends backward toward the
windshield, and that sweeping curve created as those deep, flared
front fenders transition back into the running boards are
tantamount to automotive calligraphy. The nice clean chrome up
front on that extensive grille and exterior-mounted headlights
accents the paint job to perfection. The windshield and side
windows are tinted and have a lower profile than in the coupe's
original configuration, giving this '34 a decidedly custom look
that's plenty aggressive without veering too far from stock. In
back, the area that once housed a rumble seat has been modified to
provide an impressive amount of storage space and is lined with
plush carpeting. It sits low over its wheels, just as you'd want
with an eye-catching cruising vehicle like this.
Inside, the feature-laden, fawn leather interior is a great
compliment to the exterior. The plushly-padded bench seat is
probably the first thing you'll notice and it looks very
comfortable, showing almost no wear at all. On each side of it, the
two-tone door panels have a great, custom look, sporting nice flush
leather with well-placed light accents and aftermarket speakers
seamlessly installed at the bottom. Peer through the custom tan
steering wheel that sits atop a tilt column and you'll no doubt
appreciate the look of the dash area. A complete set of TPI Tech
gauges reside in the instrument cluster and their white faces
provide a very effective contrast to the expanse of burnt orange on
the dash that surrounds them. Creature comforts have been
well-looked after in this cockpit. An A/C system has been installed
and stands at the ready in optimal working condition, blowing with
conviction through a set of three very well-placed registers to
keep occupants comfortable. An AM/FM/CD player sits front and
center on the dash and an analog clock is installed in the center
of the glove box door, a very cool touch indeed.
Lift up that tapered hood and you'll see a 5.7L V8 on display
inside the impressively clean engine compartment. It's crowned with
a 4-barrel Demon carb and breathes out into a set of ceramic coated
headers that give it just the throaty rumble you'd want from a
machine like this. With a 4 speed automatic transmission, you won't
have to give up acceleration off the line to get reasonable RPMs on
the highway, and equipped as it is with power steering and power
brakes (discs in front), more challenging driving conditions will
present no problem at all. This truly magnetic street machine sits
on a set of 15" Hallibrand wheels, wrapped in Goodrich radials.
