Vehicle Description
Take some extra time to appreciate this 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1.
It's not just that this is priced nicely for a numbers-matching 351
V8 car, or that the Marti Report shows this is unique enough to be
a one-of-one car. The appeal of this coupe is all of that, and the
knowledge that this restored classic has had one owner all its
life... and he kept the right records.
Light Ivy Yellow is a great color for nostalgia. This
factory-correct hue reminds you of those 1970s earth tones, but
it's also not so polarizing that it's never out of style. More
importantly, as you check out the Marti Report, this color was so
seldom used on a real-deal Mach 1 is only one of 20 ever made. When
you factor in a few more options, this is a one-of-one car. So yes,
you're looking at a rare Mustang. In fact, the tires are so
important to making this a singular muscle machine, that a set of
proper Firestone Wide Oval tires comes with the sale. While the
history already has you convinced, take some time to appreciate the
full presentation. This rare coupe has been under the same care all
its life, and it even received a restoration in 1998 where the
paint was taken down to bare metal, so that the original color has
a fantastic appearance today. Of course, all the right Mach 1
pieces were returned, too. It has all the best aggressive features
like the hood scoop, chin spoiler, hood latches, and bold black
stripe package with callouts built right in. The aggression
continues the length of the car with the black lower body moldings
with correct Mach 1 badging. Plus, there's no missing the
full-width rear spoiler and Mach 1 rear stripe package.
Inside are all the correct features with a few subtle upgrades. The
black exterior stripes are a great introduction to the all-back
interior. The Comfort-Weave bucket seats are in great condition, so
they can live up to their name. All the right stock pieces appear
in place, from the center console, to the heat/defrost controls, to
the three-spoke sports steering wheel. Plus, there are a few
welcomed upgrades that give this interior true distinction. The
topper on the shifter is now a modern bright beacon calling out for
your right hand, and the retro-style radio is a more modern
AM/FM/cassette so you can listen to more tunes while you cruise
around in this special Mach 1.
When you pop the hood, this one feels like a time capsule. With all
that bold blue on the block, valve covers, and air topper. Plus, it
even has all the right reproduction decals. And more than just the
presentation, this M-code car has its correct and original 351
cubic-inch V8. This was a nice upgrade back in 1970, and so it even
has its original Autolite four-barrel carburetor on top. Since you
have the correct, more powerful V8, you'll also be glad to have
full control over it with the original three-speed manual
transmission. As you look over the undercarriage photos, you'll see
more great signs of investment - from the rebuilt front end to the
Flowmaster dual exhaust. All of this creates an ultra-desirable
classic that's original where you want it and updated where you
need it.
The sale comes complete with the factory buildsheet, title
documentation, owner's manual, restoration photos, Marti Report,
and a host of original components (call for details.) A one-of-one
classic Mustang will always grab attention, and in fact, this one
already has hundreds of awards! So you know this is possibly a
once-in-a-lifetime opportunity at a snowflake Mach 1. Don't miss
out, call today!
