engine featured a modern overhead valve, high compression, short
stroke design that proved its' value over decades to come. The base
V8 had a two-barrel carburetor and rated at 162 hp. The "Power

four-barrel carburetor boosting output to 180hp and is mated to a
2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Another unique feature
