This is a meticulously restored 1948 Ford Tudor Super Deluxe Sedan. It was restored by the current owner which was completed in 1998. Since then it has been garaged and covered. It has approximately 63,000 total miles on it but has less than 400 miles on it since the restoration. The restoration was a complete frame off restoration and frame and body were both refurbished to original condition or better. The 59A-B 100HP flathead V8 was overhauled and restored by a professional vintage Ford mechanic and runs like a top. It is coupled to a three speed manual transmission with column shift and live rear axle. The car drives straight, stops great and the windows roll up tight. It features the optional special deluxe radio that was also professionally reconditioned. The electrical system is all original 6V . It has carpeted floors and the interior upholstery was professionally restored to the original grey/maroon stripe fabric. There were no corners cut in the restoration and nearly all parts and components were refurbished or replaced with new. The body is straight with no rust and the paint, stainless and chrome are in excellent condition. The paint color is slightly darker than the original Ford color to allow it to be clear coated. The car is pictured with chrome wheels but comes with the original wheels and brand new factory original hub caps. All of the brake shoes and wheel cylinders were replaced in 2017.
