This Beautiful 1978 Restored Volkswagen "BUG" Convertible Karmann edition has only had 2 owners since new and the same owner since 1979. This BEAUTY drives like a new VW! We just purchased this car from 2nd owner who lives in Idaho and bought it in 1979 as you can clearly see in the pictures this was her pride and joy. She was very meticulous about this car and it really shows. This car is not your average old VW Beetle Convertible that is worn out with a new paint job, this Bug has been completely restored. This Bug has a rust free body even at the battery tray and between the body and fenders, see pictures, it was kept in her garage the whole time when it was not being driven. The entire interior is NEW. The New black convertible top is in excellent and condition. Also all of the original rubber weather-stripping and windows are in great shape. Cars like this were very desirable in their day to say the least but now, in this kind of shape? What a find! Any Bug enthusiast should be pleased to own this BEAUTY. I drove this Bug around town and on the freeway and in rush hour traffic and I can assure you this car runs and drives well. It really does well on the freeway at highway speeds 70 MPH no problem. It has the - STRONG – Original - Rebuilt 1600cc fuel injected Air Cooled Volkswagen four cylinder motor in it that is running VERY WELL. The previous owner had a VW specialty shop do all the maintenance on it the 40 years she owned it. They Completely rebuilt the motor 17,500 miles ago. It has a new stock style exhaust system. It has a Beautiful new Dark Blue Metallic paint job and is bright, shiny and looks STUNNING as you can clearly see in the pictures showing only a few tiny imperfections. The new Blue velour interior is VERY NICE and looks BEAUTIFUL including VERY NICE Original front bucket seats, VERY NICE Original rear seat, NICE new carpet, NICE ORIGINAL steering wheel, VERY NICE ORIGINAL gauge cluster, Original Vinyl Sunvisors and original black dash pad. This has a beautiful new interior. This VW Convertible is nicely equipped including working wipers, original gauge cluster, Working heater and defroster, Original AM FM Blaupunkt Radio, Dual Stainless exterior side view mirrors, Original taillights, seat belts, nice rubber weather-stripping, good glass with Vent windows. The CLEAN - SOLID - "front trunk" with new custom carpet covering, Jack, Lug Wrench, Full Sized Spare Tire and Original Washer bottle. This is a QUALITY car that drives very well and is nice and tight. It is a really COOL little vehicle. Check out the VERY NICE Original wheels (just powder coated) and new steel belted radial tires, boy does this combination look outstanding on this BEAUTY and really gives it that Bone stock look.
