Less than 9,000 Miles on Complete Restoration
The current owner of this 1966 Pontiac GTO Roadster is the third
total owner and he has enjoyed it since 2002. He informs us that
this one was stripped down to bare metal a few years back and
painstakingly restored from the ground up, including a power coated
underside and rebuilding or replacing almost every component of
this muscle car. While all the body panels are original, you'll
find a brand new interior, essentially a brand new/rebuilt
drivetrain, suspension, braking system, trim work and power top.
It shows excellent in person and could almost pass for a brand new
classic- the few signs of wear that we found were almost negligible
compared to the overall quality and curb appeal of this build.
Additionally, the performance of this 1966 Pontiac GTO Convertible
is excellent at virtually any speed. In dyno testing is produced
just under 300 horsepower and 350 torque to the wheels, and you
feel every bit of that power on the open road. This one handles
like a dream and it will stop on a dime, meaning that you can
really turn this beauty loose and enjoy it as it was meant to be
enjoyed. You won't find this level of refinement very often in a
classic this desirable.
Possibly the Steal of the Year at this Price Point
Overall, this 1966 Pontiac GTO Convertible is one of the most
prestigious examples we've seen in years with a sensational build
and mirror-like custom paint work. This muscle car is picture
perfect in person and it will easily be one of your favorite
classics in the garage- don't let it slip away at this outstanding
asking price. For more information about this impressive vehicle,
