1972 Europa Twin Cam Big Valve, 49,491 miles, 4 speed transmission. VIN #2082R, license plate, 72 Lotus. Clean Title, smog free. Class Winner at United British Sports Car Club Dixon and Auburn Valley Country Club, 2003. Numerous placings over the years. Very good condition, runs very well.
Body: Straight, Europa flared fenders, minor spiders and cracks from flexing.
Interior: Wood dash, good condition, mostly original, dash not.
Electrical: Original electrics, gauges and windows work. Radio is defunct.
Engine/Transmission: Newer engine, Big Valve head built by Crowther Racing, Sprint Cams, .030 overbore, and 3/4" Strombergs. No smoke, runs strong. 4 speed trans shifts smoothly, clutch good. Diff side seals and rear cam seal due for replacement.
Suspension/Brakes: Adjustable Spax shocks with Dave Bean lowered sport springs and adjustable lower links. All suspension bushings and rear end u joints replaced. Shelby Silverstone 6" mags with Sumitomo 235/50 tires. Booster brakes have been replaced by Elan 3/4" master, car stops straight and fast.
All records, shop manual, and some spares come with car.
The car drives very well and has a nice wide look. Engine is a strong runner with the typical twin cam punch at 4k rpm. I’ve had this car since 1998 and enjoyed it over the years.
