Vehicle Description
1956 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible. DGC4549. Vin # VC56S014549.
Sierra Gold and India ivory with matching interior and top. 265 V8
with a 4 BC Edlebrock carburetor. Polished Offenhauser valve
covers. Powerglide transmission. Power disc brakes on the front.
Power steering. Brand new radial wide whites. Aluminum radiator
with expansion tank. AM/FM radio with dual antennas on the rear.
Continental kit. This is a great car. Correct matching #'s paint
and interior. It runs great and with power steering, power disc
brakes and radial tires it handles nicely. The V-8 engine purrs.
It's clean. This is not an $85,000 show car but an affordable
driver. It has some rust repair in the trunk and underside. No sign
of frame rust. Power top works well and the top looks great. Did
find a small spot on left rear of the top that was repaired. When
we bought this Chevy and it ran so well and already had the power
disc brakes. We added the 670 power steering box and installed the
correct wheels and radial wide whites and repainted the Sierra
Gold. Replaced the stock hood hinges with billet aluminum hood
hinges. You cannot believe how much better they are. Now it looks
great. Condition # 2-.
