Vehicle Description
A 2003 Chevrolet S-10 with Corvette V8 power?! No matter if you're
looking for the ultimate sleeper, a powerful hauler, or just one
heck of a deal, this is a unique pickup that will keep you
smiling.
You get to choose how much you really want to let people know about
this custom build. After all, a red S-10 is a great starting point
for a vehicle that wants to be a sleeper. As people notice the
custom details like the grille, clear headlight package, and
roll-up tonneau cover, some might get the impression of a nicely
respected pickup. Of course, those who notice the quad exhaust tips
and bright Corvette alloys might really pick up on the performance
clues even before you twist the key and let it roar.
Inside are all the benefits of a nice extended cab S-10. This
includes comfortable bucket seats up front with a center armrest
in-between. There's even still a jump seat in the rear for an
occasional extra passenger. This is a more modern pickup, so it
comes with all the best factory features, including power windows,
power locks, cruise control, cup holders, dual airbags, and R134a
air conditioning for easy servicing. In fact, the only hints from
the inside that this is an upgraded machine are the JVC AM/FM/CD
stereo w/aux input and the grippy Momo sports steering wheel.
But when you open the hood, this sleeper/stealth build reveals its
full beast. You're looking at a 5.7-liter V8 borrowed from a 2003
Corvette. This fuel-injected LS1 motor only has about 53K miles on
it. Plus, it has all the right upgrades to run correctly in this
truck like an aluminum radiator, transmission cooler, and a K&N
cold air intake - so you can confidently release the C5 Corvette's
350 hp. And more than just a thoroughly clean installation, we
kinda like the idea that these two '03 models could have basically
been sharing space at the Chevy lot together. Out on the road, this
one has all the right moves to go with the powerplant upgrade,
including a limited slip rear end, the grip of modern performance
tires, and thick sway bar up front as well as another one for the
rear. But more than just a speed machine, this performance pickup
has power steering, front disc brakes, cruise control, and a
four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive. It's these kinds of
features that make this Saturday night sleeper a fine Monday
morning commuter, too.
Rarely is such a well finished project this affordable. So if you
want the coolest pickup around, hurry up and call today!
