This RARE 1942 Buick Series 50 Super Convertible is FOR SALE at
Ellingson Motorcars in Rogers, Minnesota. This classic Buick is
especially rare because American auto makers such as Buick weren't
producing many consumer passenger cars at the time due to the War.
Not only is this '42 Buick Convertible superbly detailed, it
features a smooth running 248 Cubic Inch Straight 8 engine, making
it a perfect car to take on a cruise or to a classic car show. The
248 Straight 8 has a dual double barrel carburetor with correct air
cleaner and is mated to 3 speed column-mounted manual transmission.
The smooth running Straight 8 engine powers 4 wide whitewall tires
that have the correct hubcaps and beauty rings. The exterior Bright
Blue metallic paint looks as if it was recently refinished and this
classic Buick's brightwork and chrome is in very good, show
quality, condition. The White Canvas convertible top on this Series
50 Super is in very nice condition and features a collapsable
plastic rear window and comes with a gray boot cover for the top.
Putting up and taking down the White Canvas top is easy because the
convertible top features the desirable power assist option,
somewhat of a rarity in the early 1940s. Like the beautifully
restored exterior of this classic Buick Series 50 Super
Convertible, the interior is also is very nice condition. From the
excellent engine turned dash to the very good Gray leather interior
to the in-dash electric clock, the interior stands out as an
excellent representation of what a Buick of this era looked like.
Besides the power-assist top on this convertible, this car is
loaded with many other creature comforts desired by classic car
