Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this restored 1971Toyota Land
Cruiser FJ40 clad in Dune Beige with a grey soft top. Equipped
withboth power steering and power disc brakes it's had a few
upgrades as a nod tomodern convenience without losing its vintage
bona fides. Paint quality is excellent; the truck saw a frame-off
nut-and-bolt restoration six years agoincluding a fully rebuilt
drivetrain at a cost exceeding $40000. No known rust or filler
anywhere on the truck top or bottom and the undersidehas been
rhino-lined for added durability. All lenses are new (and the Hella
H4headlights are a nice upgrade from stock) all rubber seals
andweathertripping are new and most of the hardware is new. Some
trim is originalbut in very good condition. Factory steel wheels
with hubcaps are in pristinecondition with newer BF Goodrich all
terrain tires. And a very nice soft top withcustom soft doors (with
lift-out hinges for easy removal) give this FJ40 afantastic
look.The interior shows as new with reupholstered front benchand
rear jump seats. The body-color floors covered with sound-proofing
mats then custom-fitted rubbermats are crisp and clean. Dash is of
course excellent. A roll bar with three-pointseat belts is a nice
safety upgrade. The steering wheel has a tasteful leatherwrap; the
rear heater has been restored and works properly.Under the hood is
Toyota's F155 straight six mated to athree-speed manual
transmission. The engine gearbox and transfer case havebeen rebuilt
(including a new clutch); power steering and power brakes havebeen
added. Brake master cylinder and all wheel cylinders and brake
lines arenew. New exhaust. The truck starts runs drives steers and
stops just as it should. The engine compartmentmaintains a very
correct appearance -- the only deviation from stock is anOptima
battery with an on-board battery tender mounted above it.Attention
to detail is evident in every aspect of thistruck; it's in turn-key
condition and needs nothing except to be enjoyed andadmired by its
