1994 SAAB 900 Turbo Commemorative Edition. # 448 of 500. Listed
with Saab CE Registry.
California car all it's life until April of this year.
This is a beautiful car and will be one of the great classics. I
purchased this from the original owner in Santa Cruz Ca. to drive
and completely restore. Plans change. It drives very well, passed
California smog with great numbers, is registered for the next year
and has only 118600 original miles, and counting. It is a Dailey
driver so adding miles.
Recently installed by Pacific Motors in Monterey Calif. in the last
year.

New clutch .This included bearings, rear seals, disc and pressure
plate, resurfaced the flywheel and new rear engine seal.
New master and slave cylinder as well as the hydraulic clutch
lines
New turbo lines and seals
New front brakes and rotors
New spark plugs
New Continental tires.
Oil change
New engine belts and water-pump.
$7000 in receipts
there are a few items that need attention. Although the antenna
motor runs, the mast is stuck. The driver’s side seat back is stuck
in the upright position. You can hear the motor working but the
gears does not engage. It is very comfortable in the position it
is, but repair is easy requiring a new plastic gear... The top is
solid, does not leak but is worn on the outside in a few places
(see photo). Paint in very good shape. I had the hood repainted
while in Monterey as it has damage from sap drippings.
The special rims are in good shape but it does have some scrape
marks in areas on the front wheels. The dash is perfect, all
instrumentation works, great heater and air conditioner works but
does not blow very cold. Original Clarion sound system with
equalizer. No rips or excessive wear to the leather seats.
It comes with all the special cover panels for the top, boot,
tonneau, bra, and custom car cover. All but the car cover have
never been used. Two sets of ignition keys and remote locks.
The 900 Commemorative Edition Turbo Convertible was offered in the
US market in September of 1993. This model was only available as a
convertible with a manual transmission. It had a 185 Hp engine
which gave it the same performance as the 1993 Commemorative
Edition Turbo. The extra horsepower was achieved through the
modified "red box" APC, a 2.8bar fuel pressure regulator, and a
special distributor with enhanced vacuum advance. The exterior of
the car was "Nova" black metallic. It is the only SAAB model that
had this color. It also had tan leather interior like the 1993, but
the seats were given a two-tone treatment by adding charcoal grey
piping (they called it black, but it is the same piping used on the
charcoal grey leather interiors). All had tan canvass tops. It did
not share the 1993 CE's lowered suspension. Only a limited number
of 500 were produced for the U.S. market (VINs ending in
008000-008500). They did not get the gold numbered badge like the
1993 CEs. All included leather interior, a burled walnut instrument
panel facia, a leather gear knob and boot, and special charcoal
gray metallic directional alloy wheels with polished outer rims.
Some cars had later dealer-installed options added when they were
purchased; like walnut ash trays and gear knobs, black tops, and
SPG body panels.
