Italian Rat Rod (but not that ratty)
Offered here is a rare and unique 1960 Fiat 600 modified into an
850 Abarth Berlina Tribute vintage racer. This car hails from
California where it was build in the late 1990's. It came to
Michigan 12 years ago, purchased by a local Fiat/Alfa mechanic and
enthusiast. He has kept the car up mechanically and it runs/drives
very well, including some very nice Abarth modifications.
The car is powered by a later period 850cc motor and gearbox. Other
noteworthy options include front disc brakes, roll cage, fuel cell,
period correct Nardi steering wheel, Chromadora Wheels (13-inch),
front radiator, Abarth fascia grill, Abarth badging, and proper
Abarth Berlina paint scheme. The car has suicide doors and a few
race pieces, such as new race seats, cut-off power switch, and fire
extinguisher. The car has never been tracked even though it is more
than capable and would be a blast through the corners. The body is
solid and the inside features 850 gauges and switches for turn
signals. The most recent work was new Aeroquip lines from the
firewall back.
It is an awesome little Fiat, with some Little Kings decals and
even a Little Kings beer bottle shifter. You will hard-pressed to
find another one like this. Call or e-mail if interested, or for
more information. Thank you for looking.
