The Mercedes-Benz SL series has been a staple of their lineup for
years. Initially, a 300SL was an advanced racing car that won world
acclaim. It eventually morphed into a luxurious sports grand
touring car that offered cutting edge style and substance. The R129
Chassis was produced from 1998-2002 and came with a variety of
engines. The car was a roadster that was also available with a
factory hardtop.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this very excellent 1998
500SL for your consideration. Finished in a rare shade of black
over black, this car is in an excellent shape. It has been very
well cared for and the paint and exterior is in incredible shape.
The black leather and wood interior is also gorgeous with no rips
or stains in the upholstery and a completely crack free and
functional dashboard. The factory original hardtop is color matched
and been with the car since it left the factory. A powerful 5.0L V8
produces 315hp and 347lb-ft of torque and is mated to a 5-speed
automatic. It starts up without a hitch and goes down the road in
style.
A fully equipped car, this had leather and wood standard as well as
10-way power seats, power windows, power top, remote locking,
6-speaker audio with 6-disc CD changer, tilt wheel, ABS, four-wheel
disc brakes, automatic climate control and more. The only option on
this car is heated seats as it came with everything else
standard!
With a rare color combo, just 91k miles on the clock and a fully
functioning electronics and a well taken care of engine, this 500SL
is a bit of a rare bird. A file of service docs, as well as the
window sticker, accompanies this car as it goes to its next
